Wayland Main Street/Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) volunteers were honored on March 25, 2019 at an appreciation dinner hosted by Jayda Gayle Distillery. A custom cocktail, named “Appreciation,” was created by the distillery for this event. Local businesses provided gifts that were raffled off to the volunteers. The members of the DDA Board also donated to the gifts for the volunteers.
DDA Executive Director Ingrid Miller and Senator Aric Nesbitt both spoke at the event, thanking all the volunteers for their time and effort they give to the community. The Director gave an overview of the past year and the many successes of the DDA program, “We truly would not have cause to celebrate if it weren’t for all your hard work and commitment to our community. Wayland Main Street and Downtown Development Authority is committed to the revitalization of our downtown but realizes this endeavor would be impossible without the heart, hard work, and good will of our volunteers”.
Board Chair Kelle Tobolic announced the following winners: Vicki Gless, Farmer’s Market MVP; Heather Nesbit, Main Street Celebration MVP; Josh and Alison Eggleston, Movies on Main Street MVPs; Zoe Antel, Youth Volunteer of the Year; Natalie Garcia, Volunteer of the Year.
